Viewing and Understanding NFT Holdings in the Wallet

With the rise of non-fungible tokens, wallet support is essential. This test checks the NFT visibility feature within the MetaMask Android app. The test requires an account that holds at least one ERC-721 or ERC-1155 standard NFT on a supported network (like Ethereum Mainnet or Polygon). The user must navigate to the “NFTs” tab within the wallet. The application should automatically detect and display the NFTs owned by the active account. Each NFT should be represented by its image or asset (if stored on-chain or in a supported decentralized storage like IPFS), along with its name and collection information. Tapping on an NFT should open a detailed view showing its attributes, description, and a direct link to view it on a marketplace or block explorer. The test is successful if the NFT metadata is fetched and displayed correctly, providing a user-friendly gallery of the user’s digital collectibles without needing to rely on a third-party website. The integration of NFT standards is an evolving feature, with updates announced on channels like metamask.
